Every one of the wild Golden Lion Tamarins (GLTs) is unique and special in its own way, but when we sat down to decide which GLT to feature this year, the choice of Devra was unanimous. Devra is a young GLT, born in 2011 in the forest of Silva Jardim, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. She was named after conservation scientist Devra Kleiman, one of the founders of GLT conservation. Devra Kleiman worked for over 40 years to protect golden lion tamarins and it seems only fitting that this year’s pick for featured tamarin is the GLT named in her honor. When you adopt GLT Devra, you will receive by email a package that includes a personalized certificate of adoption, a story about little GLT Devra and her family, a map showing where Devra and her family live, and best of all, a stunning color photo of little Devra.

- Enter the name(s) you would like on the personalized certificate(s) in the dedicate my donation box (each certificate will be part of the adoption package described above).
- Be sure to include your email address to receive your adoption package(s) and leave the box checked that allows Just Give to provide us with your e-mail address. Otherwise we have no way to send you the adoption package.

Save the Golden Lion Tamarin is a non-profit organization dedicated to conserving golden lion tamarins in perpetuity. Your donation will support our ongoing efforts in Brazil to monitor and protect golden lion tamarins and their habitat, the Atlantic Coastal Forest of Rio de Janeiro. We are a little more than halfway to our target of 2000 tamarins living freely in 25,000 hectares of connected and protected forest.
